Jennifer is a journalist and media coach and will share the inside scoop on what it takes to become an expert the media relies on. She has over15 years of experience as a reporter, producer and writer for some of Canada’s major media outlets including the CBC, CTV and Global.

● How to connect the dots between your expertise, news of the day and current events
● The basics of crafting a story pitch that attracts media attention
● Media interview etiquette to increase chances of subsequent interviews

When should I get there?
Our presenter starts at 7:00 p.m. Get there by latest 6:30 p.m. so we can check you in. Don’t miss the best part.

Dresscode?
Smart casual or business casual.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
19 and over.

What do I bring?
A printed ticket or e-ticket, it must match your name. Bring along a notepad and pen in case you want to exchange numbers and notes with people, and business cards, if you have them.

Tickets at the door?
There will strictly be NO ticket sales and NO walk-ins at the door. We are limiting ticket sales to keep the event intimate.

What’s the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable. If you wish to transfer your ticket, please email info@tamilwomenrising.org by May 29 , 2018 and include the first name and last name of the person you wish to transfer it to.
